Welcome to EAC! Early Academy Childcare was started with YOU in mind!  My name is Muriel Grigsby.  I am the Owner and Director of Early Academy Childcare. I have my degree in Early Childhood Education and have worked in the child care field since 1994. My goal is to provide your children with stimulating and enjoyable educational experiences in a loving, Christian environment.

I believe children learn best in a nurturing, child initiated play-based environment that fosters self-confidence, trust and a passion for learning. My mission is to provide a loving, caring and safe learning environment that challenges each individual child at his or her own rate of development.

We moved to Rossville about 4 years ago, and I was a stay at home mom with both my kiddos. My oldest started kindergarten and I knew I needed to get my youngest into a preschool type of environment. We came across Mimi and the moment we talked, I already knew that this is where we needed to be. I have never felt more comfortable dropping my son off than I do with Mimi. He hugs her every single morning, and she gives the love right back! She treats our family as if we are her family, as do her kids and husband. We love the whole family! And that’s another thing I love about being there, is her family is also involved and they are just as great.
She is involved, she teaches, she sends the BEST pictures. She is creative, which also causes the kiddos to be creative and it’s so fun watching that. She does such cute and fun things for all holidays and birthdays.
During kindergarten round up - my son crushed the questions and the teacher said “well what are we going to teach you in kindergarten?!” And I give so so much credit to Mimi for teaching the things my son needed to know for kindergarten while I am at work. Her knowledge is incredible, her patience is kind, and her love is way beyond! We truly couldn’t be more thankful for EAC. ❤️ we don’t know what we are going to do when we leave for kindergarten.
